Energy Color Codex
Energy Color Codex is a participatory social engagement and research initiative that addresses social isolation by exploring genuine human connection through an empathic approach. This project is inspired by Shamanic traditions, which played a crucial role in maintaining communal balance and healing by exploring different dimensions of consciousness.
Within the context of the SVA MFA Fine Arts Department, Energy Color Codex operates as a community-based study group, drawing upon the social aspects of shamanism. I developed a methodology for energy reading, engaging with individuals one by one to gain a deeper understanding of their needs and recognition of their true essence. Symbolism, visual diagrams, and animated videos are integral to this process, serving as the blueprint for mapping one's energetic colors. Each person's unique energetic portrait is digitally created, providing insight through shared discussion.
Energy Color Codex serves as a space for exploring personal identity and understanding how we relate to others through color, vibration, and frequency.

Phase 1
Initial engagement
Reaching out to people who wish to participate in this project to build on a database for research analysis and evaluation
Phase 2
Energy decoding and content development
erceive energy through color to develop a methodology for energetic reading and synthesize encoded information to understand what energy readings can reveal about one’s authentic self.
Phase 3
Color and visual language
Developing 2D and video artwork to represent ones unique color combination from their core energies based on the analysis. Each analysis consists of the indexing and documentation of the different energy fields that each person encompasses, along with a description of attributes and characteristics of the associated color.
Phase 4
Private meeting for color reading
To set a tone for an open and inviting space to meet with each participant, a therapeutic setting for color reading included the use of essential oil infusion and artwork. This approach brings a level of intimacy to connect with individuals and allows them to feel seen, heard, acknowledged, and empowered.
Phase 5
Follow-up review
Evaluate how energetic reading and the intent of this engagement was received through conducting surveys, follow-up sessions, and memorializing through video documentation.
